This edition is best suited for departments that enforce version control via a managed desktop service, or for computers that are not assigned to a specific customer, such as shared-use machines, kiosks, and computers in public-use labs. The Volume License Edition is a distinct version of Office that has fewer features and is not updated as frequently as the Office 365 edition.
